It's time for a wake-up call, maybe even a shake-up, on aluminum can recycling. Here at ZrO Waste Group, we realized this a while back. About twelve years ago, we started exploring ways to optimize can processing, focusing on making can crushing effective. We already knew that aluminum is the earth's most abundant surface metal, yet we saw a mind-boggling number – 36 BILLION cans – ending up in landfills every year. Did you know recycling an aluminum can saves a whopping 95% of the energy needed to create a new one? When we finally crunched the numbers on the potential energy savings from comprehensive can recycling, it was a real eye-opener.

That's why we're reigniting a project that sat dormant for over a decade. We're working hard to improve can recycling across the board, from enhanced manual crushing methods to developing semi-automatic and fully automatic systems. But our biggest motivator? Figuring out how to involve YOU in creating positive change. This is a movement everyone can participate in! Imagine – not only are you helping the environment by recycling cans, but you're also setting an example for future generations to become responsible stewards of our planet. By making aluminum can recycling a habit, we can all make a difference.
