Fear not, since our early days we’ve been pioneering innovative solutions in waste management to avert this crisis.

By studying the growing waste stream challenges worldwide, the ZrO Waste founders have meticulously developed strategies to “turn the tide.” While awareness of this impending issue has increased, traditional methods like recycling have stagnated here in the U.S.. Reasons for this include an underdeveloped recycling infrastructure and even confusion on what materials can be recycled. In addition, the average American today generates over 2 pounds more trash daily than previous generations ever did. By bringing attention to this, our founders emphatically promote a resurgence in frugal, resourceful thinking surrounding waste. While there isn’t a definitive solution to minimizing the waste stream already flowing now, at ZrO Waste we focus on what we “can” do.

Many people don't realize that the materials thrown away contain extractable energy. By producing electricity and thermal energy from waste, we alter mindsets and the trajectory of the waste stream. Redefining waste as untapped potential resources, we start the discussion around waste management, which one day will blossom into a change in mindset.
